Dental Implant Referrals
Implant dentistry has made incredible progress over the last decade and it is something we are very enthusiastic about. With greater public awareness and a 96% success rate, dental implants are clearly the way forward for many of our patients. We are committed to excellence in oral care, and strive to provide that care compassionately, professionally and skilfully.
Levels of Referral for Dental Implant Surgery
We can provide all levels of service and are happy to undertake such aspects of implant dentistry that you do not wish to perform yourself.
Some referring dental colleagues ask us to undertake the whole treatment from assessment to restoration. Others prefer to restore the implants themselves, and providing the principles of occlusion are adhered to, we are happy with this arrangement.
A few colleagues, who place dental implants themselves, prefer not to undertake bone-grafting and/or sinus lifts. Again we are happy to work with them in this way.
We appreciate that many practitioners are starting out in implant dentistry and through Ankylos, we are able to provide a mentoring service to colleagues wishing to place implants for the first time.
Level 1
Assessment only
Usually 30 -40 minutes where the various treatment options will be explored.
Level 2
Implant placement only.
Restoration carried out by referring dentist
Level 3
Bone grafting and sinus lifts.
Implant placement and restoration carried out by referring dentist.
Level 4
Full case referral
Patient referred for all assessment, planning, surgical and restorative work.
